The Big Draw 2007

bigdraw.jpg

If you are in London October 13th and 14th you are bound to come across this great annual event run by The Campaign for Drawing – The Big Draw which has tons of events taking place all through October. Quentin Blake, one of the key patrons of the event even dragged himself away from his inkpot long enough give a rare interview to The Guardian. Big Draw Dublin anyone?

interesting to note that The Observer are well involved this:

Oh, that our own ‘newspaper of record’ held any such esteem for it’s contributing artists, rather than the culling that appears to be ongoing.

I can only imagine that the same paper would suggest using stock instead of actually getting it’s hands dirty dealing with artists.

anybody up for “the big royalty free stock day”?
