Simpson Strikes Gold

Pure Pie london Bridge
IGI member Steve Simpson has been awarded Gold in the illustration design section of the AOI’s Images 32 for his branding of the gourmet pie outlet “Pure Pie”. Images 32 is due to be published next year and the accompanying exhibition will be held in London in July/August 2008.

The Client’s brief:

Pure Pie is a contemporary pie and mash shop. We have the opportunity to introduce some surrealness into the proceedings, a pie-infused utopia where fascinating people live happy lives. Creating environments where the brand inhabits, without letting the illustration dominate too much

I created a colour swatch to tie in with the Pure Pie logo

and a background texture & pattern was created to allow the illustrations, logo and branding elements to be moved around on a separate layer
