I saw these well produced books in Hodges Figgis recently. Great idea too – with each book featuring an Irish river and illustrated by Artist John Duffy in pencil.

At long last the eagerly awaited website of Irish illustrator Alan Clarke has arrived. The children’s picture book, Cearc an Phrompa, written by Colmán Ó Raghallaigh, and illustrated by IGI member Annie West, has been selected by a European jury to represent Ireland at an exhibition of books from each of the 27 countries of the EU which will take place from October 11 2008 to January 4 2009 at Bibliothèque Nationale de France (National Library of France) in Paris. IGI member Chris Haughton sends word from Japan of his latest installment of his long standing relationship with Fair Trade Fashion Company – People Tree. Chris contributed exterior and interior murals to the People Tree store in Tokyo as part of their refit. (more…)
