Coveney’s Carlsberg Comedy Carnival Caricatures

Thursday the 19th of June saw the official launch of the Carlsberg Comedy Carnival which will take place from Thursday the 24th- sunday the 27th of July in the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin. More than 65 Irish and International comedy talents will perform at the festival in 4 fully seated marquees. IGI illustrator Eoin Coveney was commissioned to produce an illustration of each performer.

The launch was marked by an exhibition of 35 chosen illustrations at 15 Stephen’s green. The evening was well attended by many of the acts.

The exhibition was moved to Vicar Street on the 20th of June and will be on show there until late July before moving to the main marquee at the festival itself. If you’re in the vicinity in the next few weeks, do drop in and have a look.

Eoin has just been picked up by UK illustration agency, Graham-Cameron.

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback, folks.
They had them printed on canvas-textured card and stretched them over wooden frames, Fintan.
