The Mighty Book of Boosh

For fans of the BBC cult surreal TV comedy show The Mighty Boosh (like me) comes the good news of their forthcoming release of a fully illustrated book. Apart from it’s funny scripts and great acting one of the most appealing aspect of the show is the overall design and look – from costume, sets, animation and illustration.

Dave Brown (who also plays Bollo the gorilla in the show) has art directed and designed the book and contributed the bulk of the books photography. Brown met Noel Fielding (co-star and co-writer) at Buckinghamshire College whilst studying a mix of graphic design, illustration and advertising. They formed a group of friends that are all involved, in one way or another, with the Mighty Boosh. The book includes illustrations by Ivana Zorn, Andrew Rae, John Chandler and Mr. Bingo.
You can see more spreads on the CR blog and you can pre-order the book here.

Looks ace. The crocodile looks like he’s wearing a traffic cone on his head. Can’t wait to see The Boosh live in two weeks! Woo!
