McHugh’s Days Like This

Jonathan McHugh was recently commissioned to provide artwork for one of a series of animated shorts for the BBC. ‘Days Like This’, a 15-part animated series of short films based around monologues from the Radio Ulster programme of the same name, is due to air on BBC1 Northern Ireland every weeknight on the run-up to Christmas. Produced by Flickerpix animation in Holywood, each episode uses different artists/animators to produce a variety of different animation styles and techniques.

‘Days Like This’ can be seen weeknights from 1st – 19th December at 10.35pm on BBC1 Northern Ireland.

These images are from the episode ‘Act of Kindness’, which will be shown on Friday 19th December. Animation on this episode was by Nathan Mateer.

Looking forward to seeing this series. It certainly promises to be good. The radio series is great and it’s encouraging to see quality ideas being supported.
