Alleviate Self Doubt

Alleviate Self Doubt, a brand new mini-exhibition of 11 artists on show at VERSUS? in Temple Bar in conjunction with Candy Collective. Launch night Thursday 4th of December 2008 @ 7pm. The same exhibition will be on next door in the Smock Alley Café, there will be all the same art + mulled wine & mince pies.
Usually it starts well enough with a conversation, maybe a friend showing concern. Favourites are ‘It could be a lot worse’, ‘Give us a smile’, ‘C’mon cheer up’ or ‘Go for a walk’. Then it moves onto more aggressive tactics like ‘Take the bull by the horns’, ‘Strike while the iron’s hot’. But nothing helps. You still feel lost. Even tea won’t fix it. But there are those lucky few who have the will and the way to escape the Paranoids. VERSUS? present to you a plan of action on how to Alleviate Self Doubt. Featuring Aidan Kelly, Photographer. Alan Clarke, Illustrator. Bennie Reilly, Artist. Chris Judge Artist, Nice Guy. Cliona O’Flaherty Photographer. Gaetan Billault, Artist. J P Keating, Website arriving in the post. Keith Walsh, Designer. Laurie Legrand, Artist. Rich Gilligan, Photographer. Synth Eastwood, Maniacs.
From these great people a set of ‘How to Cope’ postcards have been produced. Each set comes in a limited edition presentation box, printed on high quality 300gram stock cards, priced at a measly €15.
