Nice! I spotted a raven gliding along the seafront in dun laoghaire a couple weeks back. Very out of context – must have been arriving for the modelling session ;-)

Very nice studies there, Brian. Birds are a deceptively tricky subject to get right and you’ve made it look very easy.

Birds are so light (even when they are big black crows) that they could almost stand on paper (and of paper seems made the background of your great illus Brian!) They look great. To draw a bird gives the same pleasure as to draw flowers… at times.
And Birds are very popular too, in the world of illustrations. They certainly always been and still they are.
I have just come across this Book beautifully illustrated by American illustrator Brian Fisher.
