Le Petit Nicolas turns 50

Less well known outside France, Le Petit Nicolas, the creation of Rene Goscinny of Asterix fame and illustrated by Sempé is getting a new lease of life this year with a new film in the works and a retrospective exhibition currently on show in Paris until May. Unsurprisingly in French satirical circles Le Petit Nicolas is also a popular euphemism for Sarkozy.
