The American caricaturist David Levine, whose work regularly featured in the New York Review of Books, passed away last week. Steven Heller writes on his legacy.  You can view a gallery of his work here. He was also a keen watercolour artist.

Always liked his work. Years ago, I obtained and old original publication, c.1964, which contains a collection of 15 samples (A4) of his work that appeared in the first year of the The New York Review of Books. The prints themselves are immaculate.
I’ve been a fan ever since.

    Thanks,
    Damian
