dr. sketchy’s dublin

Dr. Sketchy’s began life in Brooklyn in 2005 when artist Molly Crabapple asked the question “Why can’t drawing naked people be sexy? ” Since that first life drawing class with “scandalous performers as models” the Dr. Sketchy’s brand of burlesque and scribbling has spread across 100 cities, launching for the first time in Dublin earlier this year. Tickets are now available here for their next session on July 31st in the newly refurbished Mezz room in the Twisted Pepper. If you’re more into drawing comic books and want to get started tonight, then head on to down to the Lord Edward Pub, Christchurch at 8pm for the monthly Dublin Comic Jam (it’s free!) or if you’re in Cork, the Drink and Draw sketch group in the beer garden of the Franciscan Well also at 8pm. Would love to do the burlesque drawing regularly. Would be nice if it was a weekday evening though
