scott pilgrim vs. martin ansin

Scott Pilgrim – an awesome comic and now an awesome film – is now the subject of even awesomer (forgive me) illustrated posters. The first was created by Martin Ansin, signed by many of the cast of the film and limited to 565 (including its variant) but, as you can imagine, it’s now sold out. Ansin also created the stunning poster for last years Stanley Kubrick exhibition at the Light House cinema, Smithfield.
Fear not though, Oni Press, Bryan Lee O’Malley (the creator of the comic) and Daniel Danger’s Tiny Media Empire coordinated a campaign of limited-edition Scott Pilgrim gig posters. Each of the four silkscreened gig posters feature a band from the Scott Pilgrim comics including: Sex Bob-omb, Clash at Demonhead, Crash & the Boys, and Kid Chameleon.

Hmm, gotta say I’m a huge fan of the art in the comic. Not sure about this though, I’f had had done more of his own style leaning towards the comic character maybe..
Its kind of like the toys they based on the Transfaormers movie as apposed to the cartoon…
