Ben Katchor’s first new book in 10 years, The Cardboard Valise continues his wonderful combination of borgesian flights of fancy and scratchy drawing. Here’s an interview with the cartoonist.

The New York Times received an incredible 15-foot-long scroll to the editor from Birch Lane Elementary School in California in response to their article about picturebooks.
