The AOI in London is putting on a business orientated series of illustration courses. Looks like it would be worth a trip over for. Starts 12th September.
As it states in its first issue, The Stripe is a new Dublin freesheet that offers “the inside track on what gig to hit when you’re trying to fake hipness to impress a date.” I haven’t laughed so much in a long time reading it. Illustrators Ireland member David McClelland was invited to do some live painting last weekend at Kings of Concrete a street art, music, dance & urban sports festival held in the Civic offices, Wood Quay, Dublin. (more…)
Vodafone commissioned five Irish artists from different disciplines to create unique artwork. The artists involved were Kilkenny graffiti artist Danleo, Dublin stylist Aisling Farinella, Waterford born illustrator Kathi Burke, photographer Steve Ryan from Kilkenny and Cork born Eoin Coeveny (above) who is a graphic illustrator.
Comics journalist Dan Archer talks on the potential of digital, interactive comics to effectively tell complex stories.
