In association with OFFSET 2010, “The Loons Have Looned Their Last” is an exhibition of new work by Alan Clarke. This wondrous spectacle of the arts will take place, for one single day only, on Sunday the 26th of September, 2 – 8 pm, at No. 13 North Great Georges Street, Dublin. All are welcome, none will be disappointed maybe.

Mario Sughi, a New sense of emptiness.

A “New sense of emptiness” is a group of 20/30 works (digital prints I made between 2009 and 2010).

I believe they can be appreciated either as colorful and spatial images or as a playful portrait of the world and society we all live in.
The works portray the world as a beautiful colorful world, where beauty and fashion are two important elements.
The people meet both in elegant interiors and spacious open air locations.
However behind a joyful appearance a mixture of emptiness and boredom starts to emerge.

Happy Birthday BLAB!

The always amazing BLAB! celebrates its 24th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition at the Society of Illustrators gallery in New York. It opened yesterday and runs until May 1st 2010 and has featured work by Chris Ware, Gary Baseman, Sue Coe, Camille Rose Garcia, The Clayton Brothers, Peter Hoey and Maria Hoey, Geoffrey Grahn, Steven Guarnaccia, Jonathon Rosen, Owen Smith, SHAG!, Joe Sorren, Ron English, and Mark Ryden, among others.

Happy Birthday and congrats to editor Monte Beauchamp and sustaining such a high level of content over the years.

Thursday Life Drawing Group exhibition

This is around the seventh year that the group have held an exhibition in the United Arts Club which would mean the life drawing is running approximately eight years now.

The show launches March 11th at 8pm and runs until March 29th.

Signal Arts Centre is pleased to present this collection of work by artist & IGI Member Brian Gallagher. He has exhibited in many shows and his work features in private collections nationally and internationally. Some notable clients include Le Monde, London Evening Standard, Sunday Independent, Penguin Books and Harper Collins. He currently works as a full time Illustrator/Artist in Dublin.

It’s a Tiny Little Horse show

Tiny Little Horse presents an exhibition and indeed a celebration of their poster work for CSS, Morrissey, Flight Of The Conchords, Battles and many more.
Also featuring original artwork and ‘hopefully’ some live screen printing.

Sean Hillen at the Alliance Française

To launch the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Alliance Française in Dublin, a collection of acclaimed work by artist Seán Hillen will be shown for the first time in Dublin since the 1990’s.

Best known for his ‘Irelantis’ series, they have since burrowed deep into Irish culture, appearing on nearly 20 book covers and in this exhibition the public will get a rare opportunity to see several of the delicate almost miniature original collages, together with a selection of a new definitive edition of archival prints.
